Faribault County Sheriff’s Office deputies have executed search warrants at two Winnebago residences and have three persons in custody in conjunction with an investigation into a string of burglaries at multiple properties in the past six months.

Suspects had left a trailer behind at one of the burglarized properties and deputies received a tip at 3:27 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, that the trailer had been moved.

The trailer was located at 141 Fifth Ave. SW in Winnebago. Upon investigation, the deputies arrested two persons: Nicole Marie Blum, 41, of Winnebago, and Dustin Patrick Reinhart, 37, of Blue Earth.

A search warrant was executed and deputies seized controlled substances and recovered stolen property.

Blum and Reinhart are both being held at the Faribault County Jail on probable cause felony third degree burglary, gross misdemeanor receiving stolen property and gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance possession.

On Friday, April 12, sheriff’s deputies executed a probation compliance check on Cain Buster Waltermann, 43, at his residence at 249 Sixth Ave. SW, Winnebago.

Deputies observed stolen property at Waltermann’s residence and arrested him for violating his probation.

During a subsequent search warrant execution, deputies seized/recovered controlled substances, a firearm, ammunition and a large number of items from multiple burglaries.

Waltermann is currently being held in the Faribault County Jail on probable cause of probation violation, felony receiving stolen property, gross misdemeanor ineligible person in possession of a firearm, gross misdemeanor of an ineligible person in possession of ammunition, and gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance possession.

The incidents at both Winnebago residences are believed by law enforcement to be related and remain under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
