BE picks four for finalists

Will make the final choice by June 10-12

The city of Blue Earth recently released the names of the four finalists for city administrator.

The four are:

• Jason Baker, the current city administrator/treasurer of the city of Oronoco, Minnesota.

• Angela Grafstrom, currently the city administrator of Lake Crystal, Minnesota.

• Chad Edwards, who is the former village manager of East Palestine, Ohio.

• Dawn Collins, the current town administrator of Palmer Lake, Colorado.

The candidates will be in Blue Earth on Monday, June 9. On that day they will meet with the city staff at City Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. Then they will tour the community from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Next, there will be a community meet and greet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The next day, on Tuesday, June 10, the four candidates will be interviewed by the City Council.

Collins will be interviewed from 10 a.m to 10:45 a.m. Edwards will be interviewed from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. There will be a break for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Baker will be interviewed from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. Grafstrom will be interviewed from 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

At 3:15 p.m. that same day the City Council will meet in closed session to discuss an employment agreement for the new city administrator.

The final selection of a new Blue Earth city administrator is expected to be announced by June 10 to June 12.
