One more files for Co. Board
The filing period for county offices ends on Tuesday, June 2
There have been several more filings for open positions on the county level in Faribault County.
The filing period began on May 19 and will close on Tuesday, June 2, at 5 p.m.
For County Commissioner in District 4, Darrel L. Robertson has filed to be on the ballot. Previously Dana James Gates and Arron Kalis had also filed.
The seat had been held by Tom Loveall who had announced he would not be running for re-election.
In County Commissioner District 2, incumbent Greg Young has filed to run for re-election. No one else had filed as of the press time for this week’s Register.
Two persons have filed for the open County Sheriff position. Both Christoper Albers and D.J. Bullerman filed for the office.
Incumbent sheriff Scott Adams had announced his intention to not run for re-election to the office.
Current County Attorney Cameron Davis is the only person to have filed to be on the ballot for the county attorney position.
Other county officials are now appointed by the County Board and are not elected.
No one has filed for the open positions as Soil and Water Supervisor for District 2 and 3. In District 5 Bill Anderson has filed for the position.
The filing period for open positions on the city councils and school boards begins on July 14 and runs through July 28.
