Alene G. Graue, 79

Winnebago — Alene Graue, age 79, of Winnebago, formerly of Frost died Jan. 19, 2008, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 24, 2008, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago, with Rev. Victor Vriesen officiating. Burial was in United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost.

Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Blue Earth was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Aug. 8, 1928, at Dell, the daughter of Alfred and Glennie (Amundson) Graue.

As a young girl she moved to Frost. Alene was baptized and confirmed at the Dell Lutheran Church and was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Frost. She did housework, baby sitting, and wrote a newspaper article for the Frost news. Alene loved to embroider and sew; doing many beautiful pieces for her family. She became a resident of Parker-Oaks in 2005.

Alene Graue is survived by her sisters: Marilyn (Ed) Goodrich of Delavan, Irene (Paul) Engelbarts of Elmore, one niece, five nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred in 1964, Glennie in 2000, and a nephew, Rodney Goodrich in 1981.
