Evelyn A. “Bebs” Neubauer, 81

Wells — Evelyn A. “Bebs” (Kelly) Neubauer, age 81, of Wells died Jan. 18, 2008 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Funeral Services were held Jan. 21, 2008 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Father Eugene Stenzel officiated and burial was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Easton, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn A. Neubauer was born Sept. 13, 1926 in Wells, the daughter of Bert and Katie (McCarrick) Kelly. She was born on the Kelly farm where she lived her entire life. She attended Mankato Commercial College. Evelyn was united in marriage to Bernard Neubauer on Sept. 25, 1948 in Easton. Their story began in elementary school and they were blessed with 59 years of memories, a beautiful family and wonderful friends.

She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, along with the CCW. She enjoyed dancing, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. Barney and Bebs enjoyed traveling and Bebs had the trip of her lifetime when she traveled to Ireland. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Barney of Wells; six children: Bonnie Kruger of Mankato, Patti (Mike) Redig of Minnesota Lake, Peggy (Charlie) Kalis of Easton, Kelly (Deb) Neubauer of South Bend, Ind., Todd (special friend Jackie) Neubauer of Wells, Nancy (fiancé Jason) Neubauer of Minnesota Lake; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; loving and dear family friend, Loretta Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Katie, and her sister Muggs Smith.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Casimir Catholic Church or to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
