John C. Arends, 60

Colorado Springs, Colo. — John C. Arends of Colorado Springs passed away Jan. 26, 2008 at his home of cancer. Funeral services were held Feb. 1, 2008 in Colorado Springs.

John was born April 20, 1927 and raised on a farm in Belmond, Iowa. He attended Mankato State and worked for Midwest Realty in Mankato for 11 years, then moved to Colorado Springs and sold real estate with RE/MAX Properties Inc. for 21 years. He was married to Judy Schrader from Easton.

She survives him and also two daughters Heather and Tiffany, three granddaughters, one brother and three sisters. He was the son-in-law of Lawrence and Ramona Schrader of Easton.

His parents and daughter Gretchen preceded him in death.
