Cheryl Ann Skarin (Rupert), 57

St. Cloud — Cheryl Ann Skarin (Rupert) passed away peacefully Feb. 8, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer. Services were held Feb. 13, 2008, at Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

Cheryl Ann was born Aug. 2, 1950 in Winnebago to Lyle and Evelyn (Andersen) Skarin. Cheryl Ann loved and cherished her family. Throughout life she strived to be a good person. She was an expert quilter, and became her sisters mentor and teacher in this craft. The last several years they had a great time making beautiful quilts together in each others homes.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Diederich of Sauk Rapids; son, Dana Smith of Foley; grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, Tyler, and Dylan Diederich, Connor Anderson, Billy Smith; mother, Evelyn (John) Ahrens of Gassville, Ark.; sisters and brothers, Sandra (Dan) Horn of Rosemount, Francis (Marilyn) Skarin of Bettendorf, Iowa, Pam (Mike) Penniston of Davenport, Iowa, Paula Skarin (Donath), St. Cloud.

She is preceded in death by her children, Bill and Tracy Jo Anderson; father, Lyle; and brother, Kenneth Skarin.
