Marjorie P. Sonich, 86

Fairmont — Marjorie P. Sonich, age 86, of Fairmont, formerly of Clearwater, Fla., died March 8, 2008, at Fairmont Medical Center. Funeral services were held on March 12, 2008, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Stephen Bohling and Rev. Mark Wilms officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 23, 1921, in Orel Township, Ill., the daughter of Ordria F., and Cora (Shreve) Dalton.

Marjorie was raised and educated in Wayne County, Ill. where she was a 1939 graduate of Wayne County High School. She was united in marriage to John J. Sonich on May 31, 1941 in Rockford, Ill. The couple moved frequently to various areas of the country, as John’s career was in the Army. They had spent the past several years in Clearwater, Fla., before moving to Fairmont in the fall of 2007. Marjorie was a homemaker and was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, John Sonich of Fairmont, her son, Jerry (Jan) Sonich of Blue Earth, her daughter Sheila Roslan of Aberdeen-Hoquim, Wash., her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
