Robert Everett Teskey, 79
Blue Earth — Robert Everett Teskey, age 79, of Blue Earth, died March 7, 2008, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services were held March 11, 2008, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Ron Jobe officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
Robert was born July 25, 1928, in Mankato, the son of Everett and Hulda (Koch) Teskey.
He was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth and was confirmed there on May 24, 1942. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He attended, and was a 1946 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He was united in Christian marriage to Beverly Benshoof on Oct. 29, 1950 in Blue Earth.
Bob worked at National Food Store, as a substitute postal carrier, with his dad as a mechanic at Teskey’s Garage, as a school bus driver and supervisor for 12 years. He was briefly employed by L & M Motors before starting with Don’s Fleet Supply in 1965. He specialized in electrical repairs for Don’s Fleet for many years until his retirement in 2003 due to a back injury and Parkinson’s disease.
Bob has served as a steward and trustee for his church and has taken much pleasure in helping set up and run the video camera system since its’ start in 1990. His enjoyment included northern Minnesota vacations all his life and working with electronics. Bob considered his mission in life to be caring for his family, sharing humor and helping everyone with whom he came in contact.
Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly Teskey of Blue Earth, his sons, Jeffrey (Ila) Teskey of Wells, Joel (April) Teskey of Fairmont, his brother, Harland (Nancy) Teskey of Monument, Colo., his aunt, Viola Saunders of Minneapolis, his four granddaughters: Sara, Anna, Candice and Aurora Teskey and two nieces and a grand nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
