Marilyn Lent, 75

Blue Earth — Marilyn Lent, age 75, of Blue Earth, died May 2, 2008, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services were held May 5, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Lora Sturm officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Blue Earth assisted the family with the arrangements.

Marilyn was born Aug. 17, 1932, at Prescott Township, the daughter of Austin and Cornelia (Johnson) Lent. She was raised on the family farm Southwest of Delavan and was a 1952 graduate of Delavan High School. She was a longtime member of the Delavan United Methodist Church, where she was baptized and later confirmed. The family moved to Blue Earth in 1967 where Marilyn became a member of the First United Methodist Church. Marilyn enjoyed a local garden club, word find puzzles, embroidery, baking and singing just to pass the time. She especially enjoyed spending time with her young nieces and nephews and with children in general.

Marilyn is survived by her brother, John (Lorraine) Lent of Owatonna, her sister, Ruthanne (Don) Chilson of Rush City, sister-in-law, Darlene (Al) Quade of Wells, several niece and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, one aunt and two uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carlyle Lent.
