Samela Van Engen, 56

Fairmont — Memorial services for Samela “Sam” Van Engen, age 56, of Fairmont were held May 8, 2008, at the Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont was in charge of arrangements.

Samela Kay (Brederson) Van Engen was born on March 6, 1952, in Willmar, to parents Otis and Tillie (Dannen) Bredeson.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Joel; her children, Cory (Mandy) Van Engen; Shane (Jennifer) Van Engen; and Lindsay Van Engen (fiance Joe Frerichs); brothers, Dennis (Ruthie) Bredeson, and Leon (Karen) Bredeson; sister, Carolyn (Wayne) Agre.
