Runnells, Iowa — LaVonne Rippentrop, age 79 of Runnells, died Jan. 25, 2008, at Pella Regional Health Center. A Celebration of Life was held May 3, 2008, at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City, Iowa with Pastor Diane Joseph officiating.

LaVonne Irene Johnson, daughter of Chester and Pearl (Rowell) Johnson, was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Springfield Township, Kossuth County, Iowa.

LaVonne is survived by a sister, Pat Hoffman of Ledyard, Iowa; nieces and nephews: James Munyer of Albert Lea, Penny Wilson of West Bend, Iowa, Dessie Jean Ibanez and Dean Larson, both of Pilot Grove, and Ruth Miner of Ruthven, Iowa.
