Roger Duane Cory, 69

Delavan — Roger Duane Cory, age 69, of Delavan died May 14, 2008, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in Blue Earth. Funeral Services were held May 19, 2008, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton. Father Eugene Stenzel officiated and burial was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Barber Township, Faribault County.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.

Roger Duane Cory was born March 27, 1939, the son of Roy and Nellie (Claude) Cory in Albert Lea. He graduated from Wells High School in 1957. In 1958, Roger joined the U.S. Air Force. Roger attended basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. He spent time at Chateauroux, France; Bitburg, Germany; and Ipswich, England. He was second Air Man, plus he was Air Man of the month, which won him a trip to Ireland. Roger was very proud to serve his country! Roger and Dianne Angrimson were married in 1964. They resided in Delavan where Roger farmed until he retired. After retirement, Roger farmed part-time, plus gave tennis lessons at the Faribault County Athletic Center and was on the Fitness Center Board. He was also a member of the Delavan American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Dianne (Angrimson) Cory of Delavan; one son: Todd (Jeanette) Cory of Delavan; five grandchildren: Samuel, Brandalyn, Calahan, Stephanie and Melinda Cory of Delavan; one sister: Nancy (Martin) Dylla of Wells, one brother: Richard (Jenny) Cory of Bricelyn; Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, Shelly; and one brother, Ray Cory.
