LaVina O. Kermeen, 92
Blue Earth — LaVina O. Kermeen, age 92, of Blue Earth, formerly of Winnebago died June 7, 2008, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.
Funeral services were held June 13, 2008, at the Berean Baptist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. William C. Bidwell officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago.
She was born Dec. 8, 1915, at McCallsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar S. & Lille (Burkhow) Holland.
She attended school through the 8th grade. On Sept. 7, 1937 she married Ralph D. Kermeen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They farmed at rural Bricelyn for many years; until retiring and moving to Winnebago in 1980. Mr. Kermeen preceded her in death in 2002. LaVina became a resident of St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center in 2003.
She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Winnebago. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Rose (Roger) Wigern of Kiester, LaVon McPherson of Minneapolis, LuEtta Mae Lawler of Stacy, Lois Twiet of St. Paul, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two son-in-laws and two brothers.
Spencer-Owen Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
