Edwin J. “Ed” Ballard, 85

Hutchinson — Edwin J. “Ed” Ballard, age 85, of Hutchinson, formerly of Winnebago, died July 18, 2008, at his home in Hutchinson. Funeral services were held July 23, 2008, at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Larry Ballard and Rev. David Ballard officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Memorial services were also held at the Riverside Assembly of God in Hutchinson on July 24, 2008.

Edwin was born on a farm 6 miles north of Danube, on Feb. 28, 1923, the son of C. Ray and Katie E. (Seehusen) Ballard.

Edwin is survived by his sons, Larry (Violet) Ballard of Milton, Wis., Ken (Jane) Ballard of Darwin, David (Becky) Ballard of Duluth, daughter, Kathryn (Tom) Lentz of Stacy, sister, Alice (Howard) Myers of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and sister-in-law, Avis (Eldon) Butler of Winnebago.
