Norbert “Nubs” Russell Nelson, 68

Blue Earth– Norbert “Nubs” Russell Nelson, age 68, of Blue Earth, died Aug. 8, 2008, at his home in Blue Earth. Funeral Services were held Aug. 14, 2008, at the United Methodist Church in Wells. Pastor Paul Woolverton officiated and burial was in Lura Cemetery, Lura Township, Faribault County.

Norbert Russell “Nubs” Nelson was born June 28, 1940, the son of Russell Elliott and Mary (Chaffee) Nelson in Guckeen.

He is survived by his mother: Mary Nelson of Wells; three daughters: Kellie Nelson (fiancé Kris Hahn) of Minneapolis, Kristine Noble of Deer Grove, Ill., and Kandice Nelson (fiancé Jeff Thygeson) of St. Paul; former son-in-law: Dave Noble of Dixon, Ill.; two brothers: James (LeAnna) Nelson of Minnesota Lake and Ronald (Suzanne) Nelson of Harlington, Texas.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.
