Vicki Marie Thate, 53

Fairmont — Funeral services for Vicki M. Thate, age 53, of Fairmont, were held Nov. 15, 2008, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Vicki passed away Nov. 9, 2008, at her home near Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Victoria Marie Berg was born on Jan. 17, 1955, in Fairmont, the daughter of Richard J. and JoAnn (Kazebier) Berg. She grew up in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Kevin Thate on Oct. 26, 1974, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Over the years, Vicki has worked at Draper Foods, A-OK Service, State Bank of Fairmont and most recently worked with the handicapped at HSI. Vicki loved to be with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Thate of Fairmont; two sons, Andy (Pheny) Thate of Bahran and Josh Thate of Fairmont; granddaughter, Lucy Victoria Thate of Bahran; parents, Richard and JoAnn Berg of Fairmont; brother, Bob (Randi) Berg of Trimont; sisters, Teresa Berg of Fairmont; Kathy (Glen) Klug of Ceylon, Stacie Gerhart of Fairmont; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Betty Thate of Fairmont; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rick (Lisa) Thate of Fairmont, Karen (Ron) Green of Fairmont, Sharon Thate (friend Bruce Fields) of Atlanta, Ga., Todd (Kelly) Thate of St. Louis Park, Greg (Tiffany) Thate of Mankato; special friends, Pat and Bob Green Jr. of Fairmont; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her grandparents.
