Earl B. Larson, 79
Rochester — The funeral Mass for Earl B. Larson was held Dec. 22, 2008, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester. Rev. Paul Nelson and Pastor Steve Whiting co-officiated.
Mr. Larson, age 79, of Rochester, died Dec. 18, 2008. He was born Aug. 18, 1929, in Pine County, went to a rural grade school, and graduated from Willow River High School while working on the family farm. He then attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, graduating in 1954 with a degree in printing. He took a job in Blue Earth, at the Post Publishing Co. It was there that he met his wife, RoseMary, whom he married June 22, 1957, in Blue Earth. In 1959 the couple moved to Rochester, where Mr. Larson worked for Whiting Printing Co. He worked briefly for Custom Printing of Rochester, then later went to work at Davies Printing. He retired from Davies in 1996.
Mr. Larson loved reading, sports, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife; a daughter Michelle Larson of Bloomington; a son mark of Minneapolis; three sisters, Vivian (Albert) Larson of Sturgeon Lake, Louise (Dennis) Johnson of Sturgeon Lake and Doris Gray of Esko; and two brothers, Verner (Linda) of Grand Rapids and David (Judy) of Hibbing.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
The family prefers memorials to the St. Pius Renovation Fund or Dunwoody College of Technology.
Macken Funeral Home of Rochester was in charge of arrangements.
