Janice M. “Jan” Anderson, 71

Blue Earth — Jan Anderson, age 71, of Blue Earth, died Dec. 28, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Memorial services were held Jan. 2, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Reverend Stephen Bohling and Reverend Mark Wilms officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Jan was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Elmore, the daughter of Albert and Elsie (Ahrens) Ehrich. She was raised and educated in Elmore where she was a 1955 graduate of Elmore High School. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elmore. Jan was married to Fred ‘Frog’ Anderson on April 28, 1956 at St. John’s Lutheran Church rural Elmore. The couple moved to Blue Earth where she has been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed old movies, attending rodeos, daily walks around the Faribault County Fairgrounds and she especially enjoyed all her families events and activities.

Jan is survived by her husband Fred Anderson of Blue Earth, her children Lori (Paul) Koenig of Pillager, Steve (Brenda) Anderson of Blue Earth, Tim Anderson of Blue Earth, Doug (Janet) Anderson of Rochester, Amy Imbery of Blue Earth, her grandchildren: Chad, Josh, Brooke, Dan, Eric, Alyssa, Samuel and Jack, step-great grandchild, Vincent, her brother Wilfred Ehrich of Portland, Ore., and her sisters Ruby Hove of Brainerd and Jinny (John) Kramer of Chaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, sister Viola and husband Arnold Berndt, brother-in-law Luther Hove and sister-in-law Ruth Ehrich.
