Mary O. Anderson, 75
Elmore — Mary O. Anderson, age 75, of Elmore, died Feb. 10, 2009, at Mapleton Community Home. Funeral services were held Feb. 14, 2009, at United Methodist Church in Elmore at 11 a.m. Rev. Lois Abel officiated. Burial was in Mound Cemetery, Ortonville. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born July 3, 1933, in Mankato. She was the daughter of Harold and Agnes (Megaw) Olson. Mary was raised on the family farm just south of Amboy. Mary graduated from Winnebago High School in 1951, and soon after attended St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Mankato where she became an LPN. She worked as an LPN at the Blue Earth Hospital for a short time before marriage to Jack Anderson on Feb. 12, 1955, at the Presbyterian Church in Winnebago. Mary was a homemaker, raising three children, and enjoyed attending the children’s activities. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings games. Mary was active in the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Priscilla Circle. Mary especially enjoyed drinking coffee and playing cards with friends and family. The door was always open.
Mary Anderson is survived by her husband, Jack Anderson of Elmore, her sons, Mike of Rochester and Tim (Lois) of Minnesota Lake and daughter Kathy (Bob) Boudreau of Northfield. Mary is also survived by her six grandchildren Seth and Sara Anderson, Alex and Josh Dahl, and Dan and Michael Boudreau.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Agnes Olson.
