Merton A. Dobie, 83

Amboy — Merton A. Dobie, age 83, of Amboy, died Feb. 21, 2009, at United Hospital in Blue Earth.

Funeral services were held Feb. 26, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Amboy. Rev. Mike Goodwin officiated. Burial was in Basey Cemetery, rural Winnebago with full military honors. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mert was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Sterling Township, the son of William and Pearl (Brush) Dobie.

Mert is survived by his son, Gary (Jan) Eisenmenger of Amboy, his brothers, Bob (Dee) Dobie of Amboy and Bill (Bev) Dobie of Winnebago, his brother-in-law, Jack (Lenora) Butler of Winnebago.
