Dorothy E. Neuhalfen, 68
Blue Earth — Dorothy Neuhalfen, age 68, of Blue Earth, died April 10, 2009, at her daughters home in Dougherty, Iowa. Memorial services will be held today, April 20, 2009, at 2 p.m., at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Dorothy was born Nov. 18, 1940, at Aberdeen, S.D., the daughter of Maynard and Olga (Kast) Pannkuk. She moved to Blue Earth as a child and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1958. On Oct. 1, 1962, Dorothy married Roderick C. Neuhalfen at Bancroft, Iowa. She worked for many years at Telex in Blue Earth until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, her family, friends, and pets; including her dog, Dusty.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Kenny) Kadow of Anchorage, Alaska, Shawn (John Miller) Blackdeer of Dougherty, Terri (Kent) Neuhalfen of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., son, Timothy (Jamie) Neuhalfen of Blue Earth, step-son Mark (Lynn) Roforth of Perham, 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her brothers Walter (and spouse) Pannkuk of Fairmont, and Willie (Dalene) Pannkuk of Elmore.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister Sam, one granddaughter, and two sons-in-law John and Armand.
