Helen Jean Gullord, 68

Frost — Helen Jean Gullord, age 68, of Frost, died April 23, 2009, at her home in Frost. Funeral services were held April 28, 2009, at the United Lutheran Church in Frost. Rev. Edward Nieman and Rev. Patricia Hinkie officiated and burial was in the Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery, Seely Township, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn was in charge of arrangements.

Helen J. Gullord was born July 29, 1940, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Schultz) Klopp in Fairmont. Helen graduated from Fairmont High School, the class of 1958. She attended Beauty school in Mankato. On Oct. 4, 1959, Helen was united in marriage to Wayne Dean Gullord in Fairmont. She worked at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home for 33 years until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, and animals (especially cats and dogs). She loved her grandchildren and made time for them. Helen cared for people, and after her retirement enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning and she also enjoyed taking pictures. Helen was very active in her church and within her church circles.

She is survived by her children: Jeff (Tina) Gullord of Maple Grove, Jason (Patty) Gullord of Frost, Joan (Jeff) Bernier of Lakeville, and Janie Gullord of Eden Prairie; six grandchildren: Megan, Amanda, Missy, Matt, Paul, Harrison, great-grandchildren: Mariah, Blake; mother-in-law: Evelyn Gullord of North Mankato; two brothers: Jim (Mary) Klopp of Glencoe, Alan (Jean) Klopp of Algona, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and their families; special friends: Judy and Terry Hawley.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne in 2001, two brothers: Ray and Bob; and two sisters: Clara and Gert; father-in-law Donald Gullord.
