Cecilia Agnes “Ceal” Stevermer, 88
Easton — Cecilia Agnes “Ceal” (Barrer) Stevermer, age 88, of Easton, died April 30, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A Memorial Mass was held May 4, 2009, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton. Rev. Eugene Stenzel officiated and burial was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Barber Township, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.
Cecilia was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Mitchelleville, Iowa, the daughter of James T. and Lyda Aileen (Dunagen) Barrer. She came to this area in 1931 and had graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1938. On Aug. 17, 1939, she was united in marriage to Clement John Stevermer in Easton. She worked with her husband Bud on the family farm near Easton, and in 1968 the couple moved into town. She worked for the City of Easton for several years and did bookkeeping for Bud’s Repair Shop. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, MCCW, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising flowers, gardening, traveling, and playing cards.
Cecilia is survived by her husband, Clement “Bud” Stevermer of Easton; son Larry (Kathy) Stevermer of Easton, daughter, Lyda (William) Osdoba of Minnesota Lake; seven grandchildren, Mike (Mary) Osdoba of Minnesota Lake, Tom Osdoba of Portland, Ore., Nancy (Steve) Ulrich of Wells, Amy Stevermer of Denver, Colo., Brant (Tara) Stevermer of Lacrosse, Wis., Aaron Stevermer of Ramsey, and Jeremy (Leonora Rodkin) Stevermer of Oakland, Calif.; two step great-grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, one greatgreat-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, James E. Barrer.
