Agnes Caroline Amundson, 93
Blue Earth — Agnes C. Amundson, age 93, of rural Blue Earth, passed away May 12, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services were held May 16, 2009 at 2 p.m., at Dell Lutheran Church in Frost. Rev. Joseph Ocker officiated. Burial was in Dell Lutheran Cemetery. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
Agnes was born April 16, 1916 and baptized at Brooten, the daughter of John and Inger (Engelsjared) Floden. At the age of 5 years she came with her parents to a farm home near Waldorf, and attended rural school and later high school in Waldorf. She attended teachers training at New Richland and Mankato State. Agnes was confirmed by Rev. J.C. Walledom at Trinity Lutheran in New Richland. For six years she taught school in Waseca County. She was also employed by Green Giant and worked for Telex for 20 years. On June 28, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arnold G. Amundson of Dell and lived on that farm home for many years. Memorials can be directed to Dell Lutheran Church or United Hands Hospice.
Agnes C. Amundson is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Bill) White; sons, Daryl Amundson of Blue Earth and Alan Amundson of Del Rio, Texas; grandchildren, Berit and Elin Amundson, Michael, Dan (Kelly), Stacey White; great-grandchildren Danny, Elisabeth, and Noah White; sister, Sylvia Floden and brother, Elvin (Barbara) Floden.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elida Guse; brothers, Harry and Elmer Floden; and daughter-in-law, Susi Amundson.
