Thomas Ray O’Reilly, 55

Blue Earth — Tom O’Reilly, age 55, of Blue Earth, died May 9, 2009, in Minneapolis. Funeral services were held May 13, 2009, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. Rev. Mark McNea officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Tom was born on Oct. 30, 1953, in Brainerd, the son of Raymond and Juanita (Jewell) O’Reilly. Tom was raised and educated in the Brainerd area. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1973, after high school he attended vocational school in Pipestone. On Sept. 21, 1974, Tom married Diane Lusk the parents of Stacy and Patrick. In 1977, Tom moved to Blue Earth where he worked at Juba’s for over 17 years and was also a bus driver for the Blue Earth School District for over 10 years. On Sept. 15, 2007, Tom married Diane (Wayman) in Blue Earth. Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Tom will be deeply missed by those he touched throughout his life.

Tom is survived by his wife, Diane O’Reilly of Blue Earth, his daughter Stacy (Ben) Haase of Blue Earth, their child, Devin, his son Patrick (Robin) of Jackson, their children Alexis and Austin; his step-daughter Shannon (Steve) Prostrollo of Owatonna, their children, Joshua, Joseph and Elizabeth; his step-daughter Megan (Jeremy) of Lake Crystal, their children, Zachary, Isaiah and Ethan; his step-son Ryan Seys of St. Cloud; his brothers, James (Jackie) O’Reilly, Michael (Bev) O’Reilly, Gerald (Cheryl) O’Reilly, Robert (Jan) O’Reilly, Jon (Jeri-Lee) O’Reilly; his sister Penny (Jeff) Sawdy, brother-in-law Dave Karlson; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Timothy O’Reilly, sister Jackie Karlson, and great niece Isabella O’Reilly.
