Robert T. Carr, 90

Roseville — Robert T. Carr, 3M Retiree, WW11 Air Corps Veteran, died May 31, 2009.

He was born July 17, 1918, the son of Tom and Fanny Carr. He grew up next to Bass Lake and graduated from Delavan High School in 1936.

Bob led a busy active life. He participated in politics, U of MN Foreign Student Program, church activities, several choirs, and volunteer programs. There is a story about the gliders and the pilots who pulled them on D Day, in the June, Minnesota, Legionnaire. Bob was one of the pilots. A celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at North Como Presbyterian Church, 965 Larpenteur Ave, W Roseville.

He is survived by his wife Ethel, daughter, Pamela (Steve) Schoon, granddaughters, Carrie (Kory) Dahjvig and Sarah Schoon. Sister, Margaret (Pat) Claugherty and nieces and nephews, Peggy Alspaugh, Tom Helvig, Sharon Murphy and Paul Claugherty.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Fanny Carr, wife Florence Hart Carr, and nephew David.
