Dennis Duane More, 58
Blue Earth — Dennis Duane More was born in Blue Earth, on Aug. 2, 1950, to Duane and Vivian (Pankey) More, the first of their three sons. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1968 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1969. As an Air Evacuation Medic, he served 3 1/2 years in Arizona and Japan. On July 14, 1973, he married Lucia Welder; together they had three children, Daesha, Tasha and Logan. Denny was a superb retail salesman, loved sports, and often worked as a softball umpire and basketball referee. After Lucia was commissioned into the Air Force he supported her, accompanying her to Plattsburgh, N.Y., St. Louis Park, San Antonio, Texas, Ramstein, Germany Bellvue, Nebraska Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and finally Anchorage, Alaska. After 9 months of battling lymphoma he left this earth on June 19, 2009, and is reborn in the spirit.
A memorial service will be held July 3 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth followed by burial at the Pilot Grove cemetery.
