Matthew D. Sundquist, 15

Bricelyn — Matthew D. Sundquist, age 15, of Bricelyn, died Aug. 10, 2009, at his home. Funeral services were held Aug. 14, 2009, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth. Rev. Kathleen R. Menne officiated. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Matt was born on Sept. 3, 1993, at Marshall, the son of Bruce and Dorothy (Skorczewski) Sundquist.

He lived in Porter as a young boy then moved briefly to Blue Earth and finally to Bricelyn in 1998. He was a student at Blue Earth Area High School and enjoyed spending time with his many friends who nick named him “fluffy.” He was a free spirit who loved being outdoors and loved animals, but his biggest passion was trick riding his bike that he called his baby. The more air under him the better.

Matt is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sundquist and her husband Tom Bulander of Bricelyn, his father, Bruce and his wife Kim Sundquist of Mankato, his brothers, Brent Sundquist of Mankato and Christopher Sundquist of Bricelyn, his maternal grandparents, George and Alice Skorczewski of Hendricks, his paternal grandparents, Frank and Marsha Ochocki of Canby, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Douglas Skorczewski and Dale Bower and his cousin, Natasha Skorczewski.
