James Herbert Larson, 71

Amboy — James “Jim” Herbert Larson, age 71, of Amboy, died Aug. 22, 2009, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Vernon Center. Rev. Brian Sutton officiated. Burial was in St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery, Vernon Center. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago was in charge of arrangements.

Jim was born on May 8, 1938, at Winnebago, the son of Herbert and Wylma (Marienau) Larson.

Jim is survived by his wife Donnis of Amboy, children, Shelli (Neal) Grover of Amboy, Kirk (Debbie) Larson of Republic, Mo., Jodi Larson of Eagan, eight grandchildren, sister Ellen (Roger) Tipler of Amboy, brother-in-law Roger Lawson of Brownton, and one sister-in-law Bev Larson of Devils Lake, N.D.
