Walter S. Sapa, 91

Blue Earth — Walter S. Sapa, age 91, of Blue Earth, died Nov. 28, 2009, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.

Private family graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth with the Reverend Mark McNea officiating.

Sapa was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Paul and Victoria (Pzytec) Sapa.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Janet (Don) Steadman of Langley, Wash.; brother, John (Janit) Sapa of Blue Earth; sisters, Juanita (Raymond) Geerdes of Blue Earth, Della Sykes of Melbourne, Fla. and Rose Finer of Apple Valley; and two grandchildren.

Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Blue Earth assisted with the arrangements.
