Later in life he enjoyed gardening and working with his wife on his hobby farm, the animals he took care of, and in the summers, most of all, working on bigger and bigger gardens. Lyle was a devoted husband and father, and an inspiration to those who knew him.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Gloria Quade, of Frost; daughter, Loria Joy Quade (Lee) Rebuffoni of Minneapolis; and brother, Alton Quade of Albert Lea.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents.
