Wayne D. Rorman, 90

Formerly of Blue Earth — Wayne D. Rorman died Feb. 6, 2010.

Wayne D. Rorman was born May 10, 1919 near Blue Earth. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1937. He graduated from Sioux Falls College with a major in math and chemistry in 1941.

In 1943 he married Cleo Swenson, of Viborg, S.D. Wayne was a Navy pilot in World War II and received the Navy Cross, Silver Star, Air Medal, and DFC.

Wayne was employed for many years by Cargill, Inc. with most of those years spent in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cleo; one daughter, Linda (Mike) Mulcahy; two grandsons, Matthew (Cassie) and Marc (Kirstin); and two great-grandchildren, all of the Denver area. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Parks, of Nevis.
