Arline B. Roelfsema, 90

Elmore — Services for Arline Bernice Roelfsema were held Feb. 24, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Elmore. The Rev. Dale Kohrs officiated.

Arline Bernice Roelfsema, daughter of Leo and Anna (Peter) Trasamar was born on Jan. 22, 1920 at Elmore. She was baptized on Feb. 22, 1920 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore.

She attended school at Peter School District #108 and Elmore High School. Arline married Ivan John Roelfsema on Sept. 8, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore. They farmed in the Elmore area before retiring to Elmore in 1990. During the summer, she worked for many years at Green Giant in Blue Earth. In addition to helping on the farm, she worked for Elmore Nursery making wreaths and for many years helped friends and relatives do interior painting and wallpapering. She was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in Ladies Aide and Quilters. She and Ivan assisted with Meals on Wheels delivery in Elmore for a number of years. She was well known for her bell collection.

Arline passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.

She is survived by sons, Dennis (Linda) of Blue Earth, Dick, of Eagan; daughters, Barbara Pannkuk (Bill), of Fairmont, Peggy Goeke, of Fairmont; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Leah Roelfsema, Zoe and Sean, of Pipestone, Todd and Beth Roelfsema, Zachary, Thomas and Maxwell, of Marshall, Mark and Jessica Roelfsema, and Alexandria, of Dell Rapids, S.D., Sarah Roelfsema, of Faribault, Amy Pannkuk, of Minneapolis, Troy Pannkuk, of Rogers, Rachel and Nate Blom, Teagan and Joseph, of Maple Grove, Ryan and Kelly Goeke, of Farmington; sisters-in-law, Mabel (Donald) Kollasch, of Shakopee and Dolores Trasamar, of Fairmont.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her parents; infant brother; brother, Milton Trasamar; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bob and Viola Kollasch; and son-in-law, Mark Goeke.
