Marvin W. Prechel, 76

Blue Earth — Marvin W. Prechel, age 76, of Blue Earth, died Feb. 23, 2010, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago. Funeral services were held Feb. 27, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Blue Earth. The Rev. Wes Hafner officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Marvin was born Jan. 12, 1934, at rural Blue Earth, the son of Walter and Elsie (Nimz) Prechel.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Clare Prechel, of Blue Earth, son, Dexter Prechel, of Blue Earth, daughter, Darlene (Jean Paul) Moore, of Pleasantton, Calif., stepson, Jon (Tammy) Cheney, of Farmington, stepdaughters, Julia Cheney, of Bricelyn, and Jan Brown, of North Mankato, six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
