Elaine E. Eastvold, 83

Litchfield — Elaine E. Eastvold, age 83, of Litchfield, died Feb. 28, 2010 at her home in Litchfield. Funeral services were held March 4, 2010 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. The Intern Rev. Tom Evenson officiated. Interment was in the United Lutheran Cemetery in Frost. Johnson-Hagglund-Funeral Home in Litchfield was in charge of arrangements.

Elaine Elnora Eastvold was born on April 22, 1926 in Elmore, the daughter of Henry and Velma (Foster) Haack. She received her education at Blue Earth High School graduating in 1944. She was united in marriage to Arnold Silas Eastvold on Dec. 7, 1946 in Blue Earth. Elaine was a farmers wife when Arnold farmed in Litchfield and Grove City. She also worked at 3-M in Hutchinson and later as a nurses aide at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital. Throughout her life she has lived in Elmore, Rake, Iowa, Blue Earth, Grove City and Litchfield.

While she lived in Grove City she was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a current member of the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Elaine enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her children, Randy Eastvold, of Litchfield, and Lorijean Stone, of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Scott Eastvold, of St. Louis Park and Stacie Eastvold, of Litchfield; three great-grandchildren, Steven Paulson, Shon Oslund and Raelynn Oslund; sisters, Anna Marie Eason, of Dayton, Ore., and LoLa Kvalvog, of Middle River.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Velma; husband Arnold; and grandchildren, Shon, Steven and Dustin Eastvold.
