James F. Robertson, 79

Winnebago — James “Jim” Robertson, age 79, of Winnebago, died Aug. 11, 2010, at the Fairmont Medical Center, Fairmont.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, in Winnebago. The Rev. Michael Roys will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home, in Winnebago, and continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Jim Robertson was born at Winnebago on March 7, 1931, the son of Floyd and Clara (Kuenle). Jim served on the Faribault County SWCD for 30 years and was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago. Jim had a passion for farming and loved the land. Many will remember stopping by the Winnebago Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone and a friendly visit with Jim.

James is survived by his wife, Pat Robertson, of Winnebago; daughter, Susan Robertson, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; son, Scott (Mae) Robertson, of Winnebago; grandson, Jake (Jessica Schonborn) Robertson, of Winnebago; granddaughter, Kirsten Robertson, of Eagan; sister, Lois (Bob) Wegner, of Elmore; twin brother, Jack (Diana) Robertson, of Winnebago; brother, Bill (Mary) Robertson, of Holland, Mich.; and cousin, Don (Patti) Robertson, of Northfield.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Michael Robertson.
