Raymond F. Martin, 73
Fountain Hills, Ariz. — Raymond Frank Martin, age 73, formerly of the Delavan-Winnebago area, passed away at his home in Fountain Hills, Ariz., on June 30, 2010.
A Memorial Service for Raymond Martin will be held at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, in Winnebago, on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010.
Ray was born on May 17, 1937, to Keith and Almira (McKay) Martin. He graduated from the Delavan High School in 1955, enlisted in the Air Force in 1956, married Marlys Gjere, of Bricelyn, in February, 1958, and settled in the Denver, Colo., area for many years prior to retiring in Arizona.
Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marlys; three sons, Steve (Mary) Martin, of Denver, John (Cynthia) Martin, of Lafayette, Colo., and Tom of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Sarah Martin and Eric Martin, of Denver, Monika (Jeff) Moskovic, Jared Martin and Ben Martin, all of Lafayette, and Jackson Martin, of Phoenix; brother, Gordon (Donna) Martin, of Winnebago; sister-in-law, Rosella (Bruce) Melaas, of Sanger, Texas; brother-in-law, Vern (Carol) Gjere, of Bricelyn; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that any donations be made to the Bass Lake Cemetery Association, rural Winnebago.
