Charlotte P. Sanden, 90
Blue Earth – Memorial Services for Charlotte P. Sanden, age 90, of Blue Earth, are Nov. 8, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., at the Chapel of St. Luke’s Nursing Home, in Blue Earth. Burial will be in the Dawn Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, in Bloomington. Charlotte passed away on Nov. 3, 2010, at the United Hospital District, in Blue Earth.
The Lakeview Funeral Home, of Fairmont, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Charlotte Pearl (Sandvig) Sanden was born on April 21, 1920, in Rolfe, Iowa, the daughter of George and Rose (Johnson) Sandvig. She attended school in Rolfe and graduated from Rolfe High School.
On Aug. 28, 1939, Charlotte was united in marriage to Bruce H. Sanden in Indianola, Iowa. Together the couple made their home on a farm prior to moving to Minneapolis, in 1941. After Bruce’s retirement in 1985, the couple enjoyed winters in Arizona. Bruce and Charlotte lived in the Elmore and Fairmont area for 30 years. After Bruce’s passing in 2008, Charlotte continued to live in Fairmont until moving to Blue Earth where she lived at Friendship Court in February 2009 and most recently moved to St. Luke’s Nursing Home in July 2010.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Gerry (Gloria) Sanden, of California; granddaughter, Dawn Hermosillo; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Andrea and Tommy; two brothers, Kenneth Sandvig and Gene Sandvig; sister, Rosemary Dershem; special friends, Helen and Ron Stenzel and their family; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, George and Rose Sandvig; Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; two sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn; and two brothers, Raymond and Robert.
