Alyce J. Larsen, 96
Elmore – Alyce J. Larsen, age 96, of Elmore, died Nov. 7, 2010, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth.
Memorial Services were held Nov. 12, 2010, at Elmore United Methodist Church. The Rev. Art Keith and the Rev. Lois Abel officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore. Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service assisted the family with the arrangements.
Alyce was born May 8, 1914, at Pilot Grove Township, the daughter of Nels and Lena (Brekke) Hanevik. She was raised and educated in Elmore where she attended schools. She was married to Kenneth R. Larsen on Sept. 13, 1936, in St. Paul. The couple lived in Elmore where Alyce was a homemaker and was a longtime member of the Elmore United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Elmore Eastern Star and of the Trinity Quilters group in Elmore. She was a talented baker and enjoyed her time with family, especially with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Alyce is survived by her daughter, Janet Larsen, of St. Paul; daughter-in-law, Kasi Larsen, of Minnetonka; grandchildren, Chance Larsen and Piper (Cy) Anders; and her great-granddaughter, Ella Anders.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth, in 1991; son, Roger Larsen, in 2008; six sisters; and two brothers.
Memorial donations are preferred to Elmore United Methodist Church or St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center.
