Josephine M. Rosol, 91
Fairmont – Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine M. Rosol, age 91, of Fairmont, was held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2010, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, in Fairmont. Interment was in Holy Family Cemetery, in East Chain.
Josephine passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 7, 2010, at the Lutz Wing of the Fairmont Medical Center.
Josephine Madeline (Mikolai) Rosol was born on Feb. 27, 1919, in Fairmont. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Staloch) Mikolai and attended East Chain public schools.
On Oct. 4, 1949, Josephine was united in marriage to Harry Rosol at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Blue Earth. Following their marriage they moved to Hobbs, N.M., followed by Kalispell, Mont., for one year, Sauk Centre and later to Mankato. In 1955, the couple moved to Fairmont where Josephine became the first employee of 3M and worked there for many years. She and Harry shared 46 years together before Harry passed away on April 1, 1996.
Josephine was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, in Fairmont. When she needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident at the Lutz Wing of the Fairmont Medical Center.
Left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Anne Benjamin, of New Hope, and Evelyn Mikolai, of Minneapolis; brother, Eugene (Lee) Mikolai, of Blue Earth; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Joseph and Mary Mikolai, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rosol; brothers, Eulogius, Roman and Daniel; sisters, Genevieve, Julia, Loretta and Regina; and nephew, Mitchell Mikolai.
