Michael Schonborn, 65
Bricelyn – Michael Schonborn, age 65, of Bricelyn, died Nov. 8, 2010, at his home.
Funeral Services were held Nov. 12, 2010, at Dell Lutheran Church, in rural Frost. The Rev. Joseph Ocker officiated. Burial was in Dell Lutheran Cemetery, Frost.
He was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Albert Lea, the son of Ernest and Esther (Sabin) Schonborn. He was raised and educated in the rural Frost and Bricelyn areas where he graduated from Frost High School in 1964. He was married to Nancy Skaden on Dec. 5, 1970, in Blue Earth. Mike lived his entire life on his family farm, where he farmed for several years. In the mid 1980’s he began Mike’s Lawn Care and also drove trucks for P&R Trucking, of Frost. He was a lifetime member of Dell Lutheran Church and was active with the Kings Aid Mission, driving truckloads of good, usable clothing to Texas and other areas where there was a need.
Michael is survived by his wife, Nancy Schonborn, of Bricelyn; children, Brad (Anna) Schonborn, of Minneapolis, Jenny (Josh) Bergstrom, of Welch, Brian (Amy) Schonborn, of Frost, and Jessica Schonborn (significant other Jake Robertson), of Winnebago; sister, Sharon (Glen) Perrine, of Blue Earth; father-in-law, Wes Skaden, of Blue Earth; and five grandchildren, Katlyn, Luke, Addison, Alexander and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Angela; and his mother-in-law, Mavis Skaden.
Memorial donations are preferred to the Kings Aide Mission or American Diabetics Foundation.
