Easton – Marilyn J. Linder, age 78, of Easton, died Dec. 23, 2010, at Oaklawn Health Care Center, in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 28, 2010, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Easton. The Rev. Mark McNea officiated and burial was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Barber Township, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, in Wells, assisted with the arrangements.

Marilyn was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Mankato, the daughter of Helmuth and Nora (Williams) Koch. On June 5, 1954, she married James C. Linder at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, in Easton. She was involved with Mount Carmel Catholic Women and Catholic Daughters. She was a 4-H Leader and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, Minnesota Twins baseball, college basketball and Allan Jackson music.

Marilyn is survived by six children, Colleen Peterson, of Prior Lake, Becky (Steve) Vosburg, of North Mankato, Steve (Shelley) Linder, of Ft. Atkinson, Wis., Mary (Rick) Hulke, of Nicollet, Maureen (Steve) Carlson, of St. Peter, and Kent Linder (special friend Dave Plante), of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Corey (Dia), Caitlin and Cara Peterson, Jimmy Vosburg, Madison, Carson and Zoey Linder, Meg, Matt and Amelia Carlson; great-grandchildren, Brittney and Kristen Peterson; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Linda (Bob) Gilbertson; sisters-in-law, Janet Koch, Evelyn Strehlo, and Janet (Jim) Yokiel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; two sons, Tom and Hal; an infant daughter; brother, Raymond Koch; son-in-law, Cary Peterson; siblings-in-law, Walt Strehlo and Geraldine (Earl) Laitenberger.
