Easton – Marjorie Ann Schultz, age 78, of Easton, died Feb. 7, 2011, in Rochester.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 12, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Easton. A Rosary began at 9:15 a.m., Saturday morning at the church, followed by an hour visitation before the service. The Rev. Mark McNea officiated and burial was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Barber Township, Faribault County.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home, in Wells, was in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Mankato, the daughter of Glenn and Catherine (Hawker) McCarthy. She attended country school, and graduated high school in Mapleton, class of 1950. On Nov. 4, 1950, she married Vernon H. Schultz, in Mapleton. Marjorie was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and was active with the CCW. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, hauling grain, and feeding calves, the cats and the birds. Her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren. She would go to nearly every extra-curricular activity they were involved with, and was known to bring her lawn chair and umbrella. Besides her grandchildren, she also loved mowing, flowers and being outdoors.

Marjorie is survived by her four children, Steve Schultz (fiancé, Lana Anderson), of Easton, Ron (Chris) Schultz, of Easton, Sharon (Mark) Obermeyer, of Kiester, and Karen (Doug) Nave, of Elmore; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ross, of Clovis, Calif., and Dianne (Jack) Miller, of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Aunt Joyce (Gene) Evan, of Wells; several brothers, and sisters-in-law and their families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, in 1992; her parents; and several siblings-in-law.
