Ronald L. “Ronnie” Krieger, 76

Blue Earth – Ronald L. “Ronnie” Krieger, age 76, of Blue Earth, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at his home.

Funeral Services were held Sept. 21, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. The Rev. Wesley Hafner officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Parkston, S.D., the son of Albert and Bertha (Sperlich) Krieger. The Krieger family moved to Minnesota in 1942 where Ronnie went to school. He began working at the Ford garage as a mechanic and also worked at the Motor Inn before entering the U.S. Army in 1955. He returned in 1957 and worked at Hague Repair and then at L&M Motors where he continued until retiring in 1999. He was married to Marilyn Reinke and later to Naoma Bruellman on Feb. 14, 1998 in Blue Earth. Since his retirement Ronnie has enjoyed building street rod components and transmissions for others and for his own street rods. He very much enjoyed his family and grandchildren and was glad to be able to help people with their cars or in various other ways through the years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Naoma Krieger, of Blue Earth; son, Scott (Melissa) Krieger, of Lino Lakes; stepsons, Loren (Brenda) Bruellman, of Blue Earth, and Bruce (LaDonna) Bruellman, of Bricelyn; brother, Allan (Sharon) Krieger, of Blue Earth; sister, Esther Voges, of Blue Earth; three grandsons, 10 step-grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Loren Krieger; and a sister, Alice Cahill.

Expressions of sympathy are preferred in the form of memorial donations to the United Hospice.
