Winnebago Arlone Schultz, age 92, of Winnebago, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago.

Funeral Services were held May 29, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago. The Rev. Michael Roys officiated. Burial was in Sterling Cemetery,?Amboy. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Arlone was born Aug. 4, 1919, in Winnebago, the daughter of Robert and Beemin (Nienow) Jacobson. She was raised and educated in Winnebago where she was a 1937 Graduate of Winnebago High School. She had worked as a “Rosie the Rivotor” in Utah during WWII before returning to Winnebago where she married Herman W. Schultz on Dec. 8, 1946, in Blue Earth. Arlone was a homemaker and had worked as a beautician, was a seamstress for many years, and worked at S & L Clothing in Winnebago for 16 years. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was active in circles, taught Sunday school and was instrumental in establishing the Next-2-New program. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, knitting and crocheting.

Arlone Schultz is survived by her daughters, Donna Bergren, of Winnebago, and Jean Anderson, of Winnebago; grandchildren, Preston Packard and Samantha Packard; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Packard and Savannah Aitchison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; and two brothers, Robert and Stanley Jacobson.
