Lee D. “Port” Ritter, 99

Winnebago Lee D. “Port” Ritter, age 99 years and 364 days, of Winnebago, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago.

Funeral Services were held Sept. 12, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The Rev. Penney Jane Ritter officiated. Burial was in Basey Cemetery, Winnebago.

Lee was born Sept. 9, 1912, on the family farm in Winnebago, the son of Henry and Louise (Nagel) Ritter.

Lee D. “Port” Ritter is survived by his children, Pat (Ralph) Messer, of Granada, Jack (Peach) Ritter, of Amboy, Pam (Buzz) Hanson, of Blue Earth, and Deb (Mike) Butler, of Winnebago; sister, Marge Poole, of Winnebago; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations are preferred to the Basey Cemetery or United Hands Hospice.
