George Garvick, 76

Elmore George W. Garvick, age 76, of Elmore, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Olivia.

Memorial Services were held Oct. 9, 2012, at Elmore United Methodist Church. The Rev. Arthur Keith officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service assisted the family with the arrangements.

George was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Kossuth County, Iowa, the son of Lars and Minnie (Schaumberg) Garvick.

George is survived by his wife, Jean Garvick, of Elmore; son, Brian (Lisa) Garvick, of Blue Earth; brothers, Hank (Bernice) Garvick, of Kiester, Milford Garvick, of Elmore, and Leonard (Carolyn) Garvick, of Steen; sisters, Minnie Michaels, of Elmore, Junice Huston, of Elmore, Vinnie DeNeui, of Winnebago, and Violet (Bob) Armstrong, of Stockton,?Calif.; three granddaughters; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
