Buffalo Center, Iowa Charlotte Norstrud, age 84, of Buffalo Center passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Parkview Care Center in Wells.

Services were held Nov. 6, 2012, at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center. The Rev. Bill Peake officiated. Burial was at Olena Mound Cemetery in Buffalo Center.

Winter Funeral Home in Buffalo Center assisted the family with arrangements.

Charlotte Oelke was born Sept. 12, 1928, to Allen and Lillian (Anderson) Oelke in Blue Earth. She grew up near Frost and graduated from Frost High School.

On Sept. 12, 1947, she married Ubbe Jutting. The couple farmed and raised their family outside of Buffalo Center. Ubbe passed away in August of 1985.

Charlotte met and married Elwood Norstrud on June 20, 1996. They enjoyed many winters in Mission, Texas. Elwood passed away in 2003.

She enjoyed golfing, traveling and socializing at the Fish House in Mission, Texas and the Branding Iron in Thompson, Iowa. Charlotte was a long time member of the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Harold Jutting and Marty (Vicki) Jutting; daughter Christine (Tim) Strait; her sister, LaVonne Jones; four grandchildren: Alan, Christopher, Sara and Heather; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Ubbe and Elwood; brother Art ( Delores); brothers-in-law Dick Zaino and Wyatt Jones.
