Wells Annabelle (Lloyd) Claude-Nelson, age 94, of Wells, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton.
Funeral Services were held Nov. 29, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Blue Earth. The Rev. Dennis Seiler officiated. Interment was in Rice Lake Cemetery in rural Delavan Township.
Annabelle was born May 19, 1918, in Ledyard, Iowa, to Mandus and Anna (Dillon) Lloyd.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Claude in September of 1939 and lived on a farm in the Delavan area until they moved into Wells. To this union three sons were born: Larry, Kenneth and Danny Claude. Annabelle’s first husband Marvin died on Feb. 5, 1985. Then on Oct. 26, 1991, she was united in marriage to Pastor Marvin Nelson of Pine City. Her interests through life included her family, church, crafts, and flowers. She also taught ceramics for 15 years.
Annabelle is survived by her husband, Marvin Nelson of Wells; one son, Kenneth (Cherie) Claude of Delavan; two daughters-in-law: Sharon Claude of Rochester and Gayle Claude of Mapleton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one stepson: Bruce Nelson of Pine City; and one sister: Nola (Bob Berg) Claude-Brayton of Chaska; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Marvin Claude; two sons: Larry and Danny Claude; daughter-in-law: Norita; brother: Merlin; and stepdaughter: Bette Root.
